Skip98 has been a great experience for me. I have received numerous e-mails of appreciation from around the world.

Here are some free "tweaks" for Skip98, as a token of my appreciation for you guys and gals. Let me know what you think!

When you run Skip98, you can add some "switches" as parameters. This will make the game behave differently. Here are the main switches:

-c:CHEAT MODE (displayes computer's Hand)
-d:DEMO MODE
-h:HOST MODE (wait for opponent connection)
-w:WINDOW MODE (plays in a window)

Note: The WINDOW mode is slower and sometimes does not work at all. Your mouse is frozen inside the Skip98 window. To "unfreeze" your mouse you need to press the ESC key. To go back to the game, click on the Skip98 item in your Windows taskbar (usually along the bottom where the Start button is).

To use these switches, simply add the parameter to your Skip98 shortcut on the desktop (see below). Or you can download these shortcuts and Save them in your desktop (these files work only if you installed to C:\Skip98):

Alternatively, you can do it yourself. For example, to play in the Cheat Mode, locate your Skip98 desktop icon, right-click on it, select "Properties" then where it says "Target", add the switch at the end: -c

So your settings should look something like this:

Then click OK. Now double-click on the icon to start the game. You should now see the computer's "hand" while playing

Enjoy!
